HOW TO PLAY BLACKJACK

Blackjack is a card game with a mixture of chance and skill, it is very simular to Pontoon and is sometimes refered to as 21's. The object of the game is to get 21 or as close to 21 as possible without going over and 'busting'. Each player around the table is playing individualy against the dealer, therefore it is possible for some players to loose and some to win in one hand. The rules of Blackjack are very simple

The game begins by all players wishing to participate placing their bet in to the box in front of them on the blackjack table , the dealer then deals each player two cards from a card shoe containing six decks of shuffled cards and one card to himself all face up. The dealer deals himself his second card after all other players have had their turns.

Begining from the left of the dealer each player in turn will be given the option to;

  • STAND ~ which means take no more cards they are happy with what they have. You can stand on any amount even two if you wanted!!
  • TAKE A CARD ~ if they feel they can get closer to 21 with another card
  • SPLIT ~ if they have a pair, they then have to double their initial bet and play two hands.
  • DOUBLE DOWN ~ Double their initial bet but only receive one more card
  • BUST ~  If they go over 21

When all players have taken their turns the dealer will then deal himself  his second card and any further cards he needs. Blackjack rules state if dealer has 16 or less he must take another card, if he has 17 or above he is not allowed another card, nor is he allowed to split pairs.
